In the Sverdlovsk region the title of a "Stance King" was determined

According to the tradition in Verkhnyaya Pyshma the popular competitions of the sports school "Leader", which determined the best young masters of sambo deserving the title of a "Stance King" (boys 12-14 years old), were held. This time the struggle was concentrated at once on three mats of the UMMC Sports Arena and gathered over 300 athletes of the Sverdlovsk region including such acknowledged leaders as Ekaterinburg, Verkhnyaya Pyshma, Revda, Sukhoy Log, Bogdanovich, Nevyansk, Kirovgrad, Verkhnyaya Salda, Lesnoy, Irbit, Nizhny Tagil, Kachkanar, and Arti.

President of the Federation of Sambo of the Sverdlovsk region Shuhrat Makhmudov, president of Verkhnyaya Pyshma City Sports Sambo Federation Bahadyr Bukharsky, director of Sports School "Leader" Alexander Kakusha and head of Department of Physical Culture, Sports and Youth Policy of Verkhnyaya Pyshma Alexey Britanov addressed to the participants with words of greeting and wishes of good luck.

The format of the tournament assumes that fights are to be held only standing, without going to the mat, and, accordingly, without submission locks, holds and throws from the prone position. According to experts, such rules are focused primarily on the development of coordination and reaction time.

Young sambists from Lesnoy turned out to be the most adapted to the competition, they won four gold medals in 11 weight categories. Sportsmen from Nizhny Tagil, Ekaterinburg, Verkhnyaya Pyshma and Sukhoy Log also showed themselves well.
