The team from the Sverdlovsk region excelled at a prestigious international tournament “Mikhail Burdikov Memorial”

Athletes from the Sverdlovsk region gained in total 17 awards of various merits at a prestigious international tournament “Memorial of Mikhail Burdikov, Honorary coach of USSR”. The competition was held for the fifth time from 14 to 15 August at International Olympic Sports Academy in Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod region.

Among women, representatives of Yekaterinburg Sambo and Judo School of Olympic Reserve and “Rodina” Sports Club gained awards. The highest result was achieved by Vera Lotkova, who won in U54 kg weight category, and Albina Cholombitko who had no equal in weight category over 80 kg. Olesya Posylkina (U72 kg weight category) got a silver medal. Bronze medals were awarded to Olga Titova (U50 kg weight category), Ekaterina Tsybert (U59 kg weight category), Victoria Voronova (U65 kg weight category) and Margarita Kirichenko (over 80 kg weight category).

Vladimir Balykov of the UMMC Sambo Club (Verkhnyaya Pyshma) triumphed in U71kg weight category. Silver medalists were his teammates Stanislav Skryabin (U79 kg weight category) and Alexander Tsiulin (over 98+ kg weight category). Bronze was taken by five more sambists from Verkhnyaya Pyshma: Varuzhan Sargsyan (U64kg weight category), Ali Tursunov (U71kg weight category), Ali Kurzhev (U88kg weight category), Gleb Poznahirko (U98kg weight category) and Dmitry Shuvayev (over 98kg weight category) as well as two athletes from the Sambo and Judo School of Olympic Reserve and “Rodina” Sports School: Ivan Lukanin (U79kg weight category) and Ivan Tachkov (over 98 kg weight category).
