Thus, he added the second gold to the collection of the Sverdlovsk region’s team
Stanislav Skryabin followed the lead of Ekaterina Khasanova (Ekaterinburg). He won the Russian Championship, held in Verkhnyaya Pyshma, in the weight category up to 79kg. This is the second similar title he captured during his career. The first one he won in 2018.
Stanislav won ahead of time in the finals being matched against a sambist from Moscow, Denis Kalinin, by making a painful leg on the leg, and was given well-deserved ovation of the audience.
“The secret to success is simple”, admitted Stanislav. “It is hard work and skills development. I had been preparing for the tournament the whole year and thoroughly studied each opponent. Besides, I have already performed at the home ground, and where else but at the home ground would one become the champion. Now I have to prepare well for the World Championship”.
As for now, Sverdlovsk sambo athletes have six medals of the Russian Championship, two of which are gold.
