The team from Sverdlovsk region won six medals at the "A" category International Tournament for the Prizes of the President of the Republic of Belarus

Vera Lotkova from Yekaterinburg became a gold winner
Six athletes from Sverdlovsk region are among the winners of the prestigious "A" category International Tournament for the Prizes of the President of the Republic of Belarus held in Minsk at “Chizhovka Arena”.
Our women performed brilliantly. Vera Lotkova gained a gold medal in U 54 kg weight category. Yekaterina Khasanova (U50 kg weight category) and Albina Cholombitko (80+ kg weight category) won silver medals. Oksana Kobeleva was also awarded a bronze medal in the U54kg weight category. They all came from the Sambo and Judo School of Olympic Reserve and of the “Rodina” Sports Club.
Our male wrestlers from UMMC Sambo Club also added medals to the team’s collection. Experienced Stanislav Skryabin was the second in U79kg weight category, and young Damir Shamsutdinov became the bronze medalist in U58kg weight category.
In total, more than 100 athletes from 11 countries took part in this 25th anniversary event.
The organizers of the International Tournament for the Prizes of the President of the Republic of Belarus were the Ministry of Sport and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus, the Presidential Sports Club, the Minsk Municipal Executive Committee, the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the Belarusian Physical Culture and Sports Society "Dynamo" and the Belarusian Sambo Federation.
