Sverdlovsk region team won Siberia Cup

Seven athletes from Sverdlovsk region took medals and promoted our region to first place in the team event of the prestigious All-Russian tournament, the Siberian Cup, which was held in Novosibirsk.

The winners were Aleksandr Kobelev from Ekaterinburg Sambo and Judo Olympic School (up to 71 kg), Artem Krivykh (up to 79 kg) and Sergey Kuznetsov (up to 98 kg), the representatives of UMMC Sambo Club (Verkhnyaya Pyshma). Besides, Artem Krivykh also performed the Master of Sports of Russia. Bronze medals were also awarded to Pavel Trapeznikov from Verkhnyaya Pyshma (up to 53kg), Damir Shamsutdinov (up to 58kg), Varuzhan Sargsyan (up to 64kg) and Dmitry Shuvayev (98+kg).

Another athlet from UMMC, the most experienced Valery Soronokov, the representative of the Republic of Altai, won the honourable trophy in the 58kg category.
