After the first day of the Russian youth championship in Kazan, the team of Sverdlovsk region has four medals

Our juniors at the Russian U-20 Championship in Kazan got off to a flying start. On the first day of the tournament they won four medals. Gold medals went to Yana Dzhumaeva (U59kg weight category) and Darya Rechkalova (under 80kg weight category). Valentina Shtentsova (U59 kg weight category) and Dmitry Yevseev (U98 kg weight category) claimed silver. They all represent Yekaterinburg Sambo and Judo School.

In total, more than 600 athletes from 56 regions of Russia are competing for the title of the best at the junior competition. The winners will contest at the world championship in Panagyurishte (Bulgaria) in October; the silver medallists will compete for the medals of the European Championship in Tallinn (Estonia) at the end of April.
