Our athletes won eleven medals at the Russian Youth Championship held in Kazan

So, the winners will start training for the World Championship, while silver medallists will compete at the European Championship
The athletes of Sverdlovsk region returned with a rich collection of trophies from the Russian Youth Championship that ended in Kazan. In total, our wrestlers gained eleven medals, including four gold, four silver and three bronze.
The winners who also were qualified for contesting at the World Championships in Panagyurishte (Bulgaria) in October were Yana Dzhumaeva (U59 kg weight category), Daria Rechkalova (U80 kg weight category), Olga Mikheeva (over 80 kg weight category) and Roman Zheltov (over 98 kg weight category). Silver medallists qualified to compete in April at the European Championship in Tallinn (Estonia) became Kristina Dudina (U50 kg weight category), Valentina Shtentsova (U59 kg weight category), Milena Khilova (U60 kg weight category) and Dmitry Evseev (U98 kg weight category). Third place was won by Anastasia Trofimova (U54 kg weight category), Ivan Lukanin (U79 kg weight category) and Budul Safarov (over 98 kg weight category). All athletes represent Ekaterinburg clubs.
