The sambo wrestlers from Sverdlovsk region excelled at XXXI All-Russian Tournament in Kazan in memory of Nakip Madiarov, Master of Sports of International Class. In total, they gained 15 medals, including six gold, three silver and six bronze. Winners among men were Alexey Klukin (U58 kg weight category), Stanislav Skryabin (U79 kg weight category), Denis Sukhanov (U88 kg weight category) and Anton Brachev (over 98 kg weight category) all of them practice sambo in UMMC Sambo Club (Verkhnyaya Pyshma), and Alexander Kobelev (U71 kg weight category) from Sambo and Judo School of Olympic Reserve (Yekaterinburg). Albina Cholombitko, Kobelev's teammate, came first among women of over 80 kg weight category.
Silver awards were awarded to Alexander Tsiulin (over 98 kg weight category) from Verkhnyaya Pyshma and Vera Lotkova (U54 kg weight category) and Gulfiya Mukhtarova (U65 kg weight category) from Sports School of Olympic Reserve (Ekaterinburg).
Bronze medals winners are Ekaterina Semenova (U54 kg weight category), Almas Kusmuhambetov (U71 kg weight category), Alexey Shitov (U88 kg weight category), Matvey Pivovarov (U98 kg weight category), Ivan Tachkov (U98 kg weight category), defending colours of Sambo and Judo School of Olympic Reserve (Yekaterinburg) , and Arthur Haptsev (over 98 kg weight category) from UMMC Sambo Club (Verkhnyaya Pyshma).
Especially our heavyweights became favorites at the tournament, taking the whole podium, and Anton Brachev also fulfilled the title norms of the Master of Sports.
In total, more than 230 athletes from 30 regions of the country took part in the prestigious competition.
