Results of the Ural Federal District competitions and championship

More than a hundred female and male sambists from the Sverdlovsk region qualified for the Russian National Championship and competitions next year. This is the result of a successful performance at the championship and competitions of the Ural Federal District, which took place in Verkhnyaya Pyshma. And a few dozen of our boys and girls made it to the major tournaments of the country as winners of championships and comppetions Russia, as well as various internal competitions.

- Many of our experienced adult athletes have already had a ticket to the Russian Championships, about twenty people. And they, therefore, did not contest the district competition, - says Valery Stennikov, head coach of the Sverdlovsk region team. - We made this decision on purpose, to give our other sambo wrestlers, promising young guys, a chance to be selected. Thus, we increased our representation at the Russian National Championship and our chances for medals and tickets to international competitions.
