Ekaterina Tsybert has won another gold medal for Sverdlovsk region at the World Championship in Thessaloniki, Greece

Ekaterina Tsybert from Yekaterinburg Sambo and Judo School of Olympic Reserve became a winner in U59 kg weight category among juniors at the Youth and Junior World Championships ended today in Thessaloniki (Greece). Thus, our participants of the world forum (only female participants) collected three gold and one silver awards in total.

Earlier, Anastasia Trofimova from Yekaterinburg Sports School “Victoria” won in U54kg weight ategory. Darya Rechkalova from Yekaterinburg Sambo and Judo School of Olympic Reserve became another "gold" winner, with no rivals among the juniors U80kg weight category. While Kristina Dudina, who represented Yekaterinburg College of Olympic Reserve took the second place in U50 kg weight category.

As usual, Ekaterina Tsybert confidently won over her opponents of the tournament bracket using painful holds. In the final, in the fight with Azada Aymuratova (Uzbekistan) the turning point occurred in the middle of the bout, when Tsybert won over her opponent with a hold and spectacular four-point throw. From there on our sambist kept increasing her lead and finished the bout with overwhelming score 7:0.

This is the second consecutive world title awarded to Tsybert. A year ago, she also won at the championship among juniors U56kg weight category in Novi Sad, Serbia. Daria Rechkalova was the strongest in Serbia in U70kg weight category, while Kristina Dudina was the strongest in U48kg weight category.
