Tow sambo athletes from Sverdlovsk region qualified for European Sambo Cup

The qualification berths were granted at the Russian Under-24 Sambo Championship, held in Vladimir
The Russian Under-24 Sambo Championship, held in Vladimir, ended today. The winners qualified for the European Sambo Cup, which will take place in Bucharest, December (Romania). Two sambo athletes from Sverdlovsk region (Ekaterinburg), who represent the Olympic Sports School in sambo & judo, struck it lucky. Roman Zheltov won in the weight class up to 98+kg, and Albina Cholombitko became the best in the weight category up to 80+kg.
A few more sambists from Sverdlovsk region became the medalists. Gleb Poznakhirko from UMMC Sambo Club (Verkhnyaya Pyshma) took silver in the weight class up to 98kg. His clubmate, Alexander Tsiulin, hit the medals with bronze in the weight category up to 98+kg. Vera Lotkova, representing the Olympic Sports School in sambo & judo (Ekaterinburg) secured the second podium place in the weight class up to 54kg. Six of her teammates sealed third in the tournament: Gadzhi Gamzaev (up to 79kg), Ekaterina Khasanova (up to 50kg), Victoria Voronova (up to 65kg), Ksenia Khismatullina (up to 80kg), Margarita Kirichenko (up to 80kg) and Olga Mikheeva (80+kg).
As a reminder, the competition was supposed to take place in Suzdal, but was moved to Vladimir.
