The juniors from Sverdlovsk region collected more medals as compared with their younger club-mates the day before

Цыберт-ЧЕ-2021.jpg The juniors from Sverdlovsk region surpassed the scores of their younger club-mates at the European Championship and competitions held in Limassol (Cyprus). They won two gold and two silver medals at the U-20 Youth Championship that ended today.

Notably, our four sambists (the Sambo and Judo School of Olympic Reserve and “Rodina” Sambo Club from Yekaterinburg) reached the finals, where Ekaterina Tsybert (U59 kg weight category) and Ivan Lukanin (U79 kg weight category) bagged themselves winners, and Oksana Kobeleva (U54 kg weight category) and Ludmila Naletova (U72 kg weight category) became silver medalists of European Championship. Ivan Lukanin came first at European Junior Championship in U79 kg weight category.

Ekaterina Tsybert in her decisive fight against Anastasia Podalashina of Belarus showed no slightest desire to wait for the final siren and won ahead of time by painful hold. Ivan Lukanin followed her example in the bout for the gold. Even without a painful hold he submitted Ukrainian Alexey Lypko ahead of time with a clear advantage.

Oksana Kobeleva, who was desperately fighting until the end of the final, lost in equal fight to her opponent from Ukraine. Ludmila Naletova tried to attack, but at some point, she relaxed and was less vigilant and missed a painful hold.

Tomorrow men and women fight for the champion title. We are going to support Vladimir Gladkikh (U58 kg weight category) and Anna Balashova (U80 kg weight category), the representatives of UMMC Sambo Club (Verkhnyaya Pyshma).

Live bouts are still available on the website of the All-Russian Sambo Federation
